The beta, up close.
I wanted to share some short clips from the development build — real features, real data, no smoke and mirrors, proof that the concept is working. The app is still in development, so the UI and features are subject to change and you'll clearly see some rough edges, but the core functionality is there and the app is already usable. I hope you enjoy the clips and if you’d like to be notified when the app is ready, please sign up.
Live ballistics, saved profiles and locations
A full solver with live location based atmospherics, spin drift and Coriolis. A huge library of projectiles and drag models, with the ability to configure your own. The solver will even help you true your BC and suggest multi-velocity BC models (see below).
Your data, your way.
The results screen is yours to build. Drag widgets where you want them, resize to fit, and tap any widget to go full-screen, create multiple pages. Your layout saves and can then be attached to any profiles you create.
BC calibration.
True your ballistic coefficient against real-world drops. Enter your observed dope at distance and the solver back-calculates the BC that matches your rifle and load — so your solutions line up with what actually hits the target.
Profiles & sessions.
Set up a profile for each rifle and load, switch in a tap, and keep every session logged against the right setup. Configure units per profile, shoot MIL on one rifle and MOA on another, simple, the widgets will update automatically. The system also has a full shot tracking pulling the shot counts from sessions, load tests or manual inputs. Track other events such as cleaning, repairs or barrel maintenance and see the history of your rifle at a glance.
Load data, analysed.
Create load tests with different charge weights Pull in or enter chronograph strings, review velocity stats and find those Satterlee flat spots on the generated chart — no spreadsheet required.
Projectiles & drag curves.
Browse the projectile library, compare drag models and see exactly where your bullet sits on the curve at any range. A huge library of projectiles and drag models, with the ability to configure your own. The solver will even help you true your BC and suggest multi-velocity BC models.
Group analysis.
Photograph a target, mark the shots, and get extreme spread, standard deviation and group centre at a glance.
F-Class shot plotter.
Tap the target face to plot each shot, track your string score and feed every impact straight into the shot log.
Bench rest card scoring. (testing)
Designed for informal competitions, score your bench rest cards shot by shot, with scores and X-counts tallied automatically as you mark each impact — every result logged straight into your session history.
Shot timer.
A built-in shot timer for practical and speed disciplines — set your par time, get the start beep, and review your splits afterwards. I also built in a microphone-based shot detector so you can record your splits without touching the screen, and calibrate it once per firearm, exclude other range noise
